Helmet

There isn´t much more to say about Page Hamilton´s band Helmet. Since their early days in New York in 1989 they have reached a well-deserved spot in the alternative metal scene. Mainstream bands like Rise Against the Machine, Limp Bizkit, Tool, Marilyn Manson and Deftones have been strongly influenced by their sound and they are a reference for any current band along these lines.

It was interesting seeing them live and I had a good time. On a side note, I though Hamilton´s in-between songs ‘anti’ preaching was a bit unnecessary, but the guy´s getting old so I guess it comes with age.
