Best of - Part II

Ready just before the weekend!

The Vines – a hush-hush show in Sydney that was okay until Craig Nicholls smashed a guitar on the stage at the end.

Okkervil River – They got me when they played a cover of “Sloop John B” by the Beach Boys.

Bon Iver – Nice performance at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl. The guy got the Grammy Award in 2012.

Alpine – some local Melbournians that will be playing again in Melbs in September.

Matt Keegan Trio experimental saxo jazz. Good memories from my days in Sydney (they played at the Opera House!).

Ghoul – I had the chance to see them twice and document a practice session. The band is now gone, but the rumour is that there´s a new project coming soon.

Peaches – A bit older than last year, but the performance was really peculiar and the photos were good.

Electrelane – A feminist  indie rock band from Britain, performing at the Corner Hotel. The music was good, though.

Blitzen Trapper- The band from Oregon was quite fun live and loved the lead guitar sound. I cannot stand the album, though.

Die Antwoord – Not my style but they guys seem to be doing great and they are playing in all the main festivals.
